我没有看过中文的网页设计教程，也不知道中国大学现在有没有网页设计专业。不过可以想象如果以后的网页设计教程和网络编程教程中，加一章SEO技术，大学的相关专业也加这么一门课，很快，基础的SEO知识就会被更多人掌握，就会扭转目前这种不对称性。

虽然不能说学了这门课程的人就能成为SEO专家，不过大部分网站存在的SEO优化问题，可以在很大程度上解决了。比如良好的网站结构，导航系统，搜索引擎友好等。

另外一个SEO存在的前提是搜索引擎技术还不成熟。虽然在短短几年之内，搜索引擎技术已经经历了几个巨大的变化，从以关键词密度为主，到以链接分析和PR为主，然后又发展出域名和网站的信任度，现在又融入社会性搜索。据说，智能化的新一代搜索引擎也在研制中。

这一切都是短短几年中发生的。

九年前我第一次上网，那时候Google还不存在。十年前，做梦也不会想到现在的搜索引擎技术。

十年后搜索引擎技术会发展到什么程度，无法想象。如果十年以后，搜索引擎成熟到真正能做到内容为王，大部分SEO就可以转行了。

现在SEO专家和初学者的区别在于，专家和高手会时时观察排名算法中的新动向。可是十年以后，观察的结论也许只有一个，真的是内容为王，也就不必再观察了。

如果这两个前提都不再存在，目前这种形式的SEO技术和服务，将大大萎缩。

从好的方面来看，不管以后搜索技术和电子商务发展到什么程度，网站策划营销还都是需要的，只不过重点可能转到其他方向。

所以现在的SEO人员应该在掌握了基本的SEO技术以后，尽量增加网络营销，市场营销策划等方面的能力，才能保证自己无论过多久都还能有用武之地。
